Chairman

John Mesogits, PSG

Brother John hails from the Pittsburgh area and is the product of an AHEPA Family that spans four generations in Pennsylvania’s District Four.  He is the third generation AHEPAN of his family and at last year’s Supreme Convention in Orlando, his Son Demetri was inducted into the Sons of Pericles marking a very rare fourth generation AHEPA Family.


Brother John has served his Chapter #34 Pittsburgh Aristotelis, in several capacities including Chapter President and Member of the Board of Trustees.  He has served several District 4 Lodge positions including District Governor, District Advisor, District News letter Editor, General District Convention Chairman four times as well as Chairing several successful fund raising endeavors that raised tens of thousands of dollars.


On the National level, Brother John has served two terms as Region 2 Supreme Governor, Chairman of the Standing National Legislative Committee, Chairman of the Veterans Affairs Committee as well as membership on various other National Committees.

Vice Chairman

Tom Gober, Past Supreme Treasurer

Brother Tom from Northwest Indiana and has been a leader in the AHEPA for many years, serving in leadership roles in his local chapter, district, and on the supreme lodge. A member of Calumet Chapter #157 for 40 years, Brother Tom has served three terms as Hoosier District #12 Governor, three terms as Supreme Governor for Region 6, and served a term as Supreme Treasurer.


Brother Tom as also been honored to serve as Vice Chairman at the Supreme Convention held in Denver, CO in 2007 and as Chairman of the Supreme Convention held in Athens in 2008. He currently serves as a member of the AHEPA national Cooley’s Anemia committee and Cyprus and Hellenic Affairs committee.


He is a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Schererville, Indiana and works for St. Catherine’s Hospital in East Chicago, Indiana as a nuclear medicine technologist.

Secretary

Matthew R. Kochevar, Esq., PDG

Brother Matthew of Indianapolis, Indiana is a young leader in AHEPA and a true Philhellene. A member of the AHEPA since December 2007, first with the Gary/Merrillville Chapter #78 and now with the James Whitcomb Riley Chapter #232 in Indianapolis, he was elected to serve on the Hoosier District #12 lodge as Secretary at his first district convention in 2008. After two terms as District Secretary and two terms as Lieutenant Governor, Brother Matthew was elected at the age of 22 to serve as District Governor, one of the youngest AHEPANs to hold that office on the district lodge.


He has also served AHEPA in other ways including serving as Chair of the District Governor’s Committee for two years and on the Standing Legislative Committee where he has served as Chair from 2013 to 2016. Brother Matthew served as Secretary at the 88th Annual Supreme Convention in Montreal.


Brother Matthew is a practicing attorney working for the State of Indiana in the field of election law and administration. He is currently serving as President of the James Whitcomb Riley Chapter #232 in Indianapolis.
